that have been compiled over 2 years from questions and concerns raised in
various classes. Pre-requisites for this class are prior
Hyperion/Brio Experience, "Reporting and Analysis using
Hyperion Intelligence Tool" or the Hyperion/Brio Explorer class.

Dashboard Development using JavaScript V8 & V6
(formerly Custom Applications 6.0 Course for
Developers)
This 2-day course is designed for people who
create customized front-ends using the Dashboard/ EIS functionality
and for Explorer or Designer developers who create documents for end
users. This is a very lab-intensive course.
Students will learn:
- How JavaScript can be used to script and
control Hyperion/Brio Client documents (an introduction);
- How JavaScript programs are interpreted by
the Hyperion/Brio engine and are used to provide dynamic control
of Hyperion/Brio document;
- How documents enhanced with JavaScript are
able to respond to user interaction; and,
- How within the Hyperion/Brio Client,
JavaScript is used to respond to user events and the document
lifecycle.
The class begins with introductory concepts and
moves into programming techniques. Students focus on developing an
understanding of the JavaScript syntax and object framework,
specifically as it applies to interacting with BrioQuery documents.
